Erica Sava Park
Erica is a clinical social worker providing evidence-based treatment to children, adolescents, and adults. Before opening her private practice, she worked for several years at group practices in Manhattan and Brooklyn. Erica relocated to Atlanta, Georgia, though she provides telehealth therapy to clients living in New York, Georgia, Pennsylvania, and South Carolina. While Erica is a solo practitioner, she participates in a weekly consultation team with other behavioral therapists to continue strengthening her clinical practice.
Erica graduated with a Master of Science in Social Work from Columbia University. Prior to this, she completed a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with minors in counseling and women & gender studies at Ithaca College.
While at Columbia, she completed the Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) training program under André Ivanoff. She is currently practicing as a DBT-Linehan Board of Certification, Certified Clinician™. Erica received intensive training in implementing DBT for children by Francesca Perepletchikova. Erica enjoys practicing DBT because it’s skills-focused, evidence-based, and allows therapists to be their genuine selves while helping people reach their life work living goals.
Erica also enjoys working with parents and uses Parent Management Training (PMT) to improve parent-child interactions and increase adaptive behaviors in children. She has also studied Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions (SPACE) and Non-Violent Resistance (NVR) treatment programs to further support parents of children with anxiety disorders or risky behaviors.
Additionally, Erica is skilled at implementing Exposure and Response Prevention Therapy (ERP) to treat obsessive-compulsive disorder and phobias. She has been training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy Prolonged Exposure Protocol (DBT-PE) by Melanie Harned and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to reduce symptoms of trauma in children, teens, and adults. Erica is passionate about helping people confront their fears and work through traumatic experiences in order to fully participate in their lives.
She has also received training in Radically Open DBT to address symptoms of over-control, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and CBT for Chronic Insomnia. Erica is dedicated to learning and expanding her clinical skills through ongoing training to best assist her clients.
